Tidy — QA channel

Train 2026-10-01 · version 26.1001.4 · auto-updates from this feed. This is the QA test channel, not the public release — every surface Tidy currently ships is listed below.

Linux desktop

One-line install (picks the right package for your distro):

curl -fsSL https://get.tidy.engineering/desktop/qa/install.sh | TIDY_DESKTOP_CHANNEL_URL=https://get.tidy.engineering/desktop/qa bash

Or download directly:

Installed apps self-update from https://get.tidy.engineering/desktop/qa/latest-linux.yml on each train. Verify downloads against https://get.tidy.engineering/desktop/qa/SHA256SUMS.

Browser extension

The Tidy Chrome extension is built by the same train and delivered on the QA channel. Install it via Chrome's Load-unpacked flow: get the QA extension. (Published by the extension leg — a train that skipped that leg leaves this link 404 until the next one runs it.)

Android · Wear OS · Android Auto

Not distributed from this host. The train uploads them to the Play Store internal track, so testers install from Play once they are on the tester list — there is no APK download here by design (a sideloaded build does not auto-update and does not match the dogfood install).

Progressive web app

No download at all — open the web app and use your browser's Install app action to get a standalone window. This is the fastest surface to test against a QA backend, since it always serves the deployed build with nothing installed locally.

Windows / macOS

Not built. Both are gated on code-signing material that does not exist yet (Windows Authenticode, Apple Developer ID). Unsigned Electron installers break auto-update and trip SmartScreen/Gatekeeper, so the train skips them loudly rather than publishing something that cannot update itself. Linux is the only desktop platform shipping today.
